Durable handwoven basket made of milulu grass–a reed-like swamp grass–and dyed to a rich black with purple undertones and flecks of the natural color. Handmade by women in rural Tanzania and named for the city of Iringa, iringa baskets are an indispensable utility item in East Africa and around the world.

14-15" in diameter x 13" in height. Small variations in size & design are part of what makes each piece uniquely beautiful. If reshaping is necessary, lightly spray basket with water and mold while drying.
